Sometimes you just have to stop to capture the moment. Its one of my favorite things while traveling or just walking around the neighborhood. There are always beautiful surprises that can be quickly captured with a snap of a camera (or iPhone) - so those moments can be remembered forever.
Capturing candid moments of a family can be one of the most rewarding elements of being a photographer. These moments happen every day, several times a day - so its all about being in the right place (with a camera) at the right time.

The best part about photoshoots with children, is they have not a care or any awareness that there's a camera in their face, they are too preoccupied with being their fabulous little selves and running around enjoying their surroundings!
It may take a bit of extra time and work to capture the right photo, but its always worth it in the end.
Some people love the idea of getting headshots done - either for professional reasons or just to treat themselves. When it comes to the photoshoot itself, sometimes shyness can overwhelm the experience.
My approach is to make it a fun and calm experience...which usually entails cracking jokes and making fun of myself to loosen up the vibe. Clients favorite photos tend to be the ones where they weren't even posing for camera.
First birthdays are a wonderful celebration of a little one making it to a year old, but also a celebration for the parents making it 365 days on little sleep and a whole lot of love (and diaper changes).
Always fun to capture the excitement of the toddler devouring cake and the pride of mom and dad celebrating their little one.
